'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League comeback

Kane achieves his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his interest in going back to the Premier League has faded and he is open to discuss a new deal with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is at the moment two years through the four-year agreement he signed when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the offseason of 2023.

The 32-year-old forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German club, playing a key role in them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which represented the initial significant trophy of his notable career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has recently expressed that he would welcome to see Kane go back to England, where he requires 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring milestone of 260.

However, the England captain has now indicated that he is no longer as keen about going back home as he earlier was, and would definitely contemplate extending his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could absolutely see that," he commented.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different moments happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five divisions, reaching the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had eluded him until he won the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would respond after overcoming his trophy wait, but now believes it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
